According to Prince William County police, Blerand Hoxha was arrested for assaulting a soccer coach on August 26, 2023, near Manassas’ George Hellwig Memorial Park around 2 p.m.

The soccer coach, 46-year-old Vince Villanueva, who was rendered unconscious during the incident, was transported to a local hospital for medical attention.

Villanueva expressed uncertainty regarding the motive behind the attack. He only knew that the team was performing poorly during the match.

He mentioned substituting for a friend during the boys’ team and the Northern Virginia Soccer Club scrimmage.

Coach Vince recounted that Hoxha approached him, requesting to speak, and the situation quickly escalated.
